CLEAR FORK VALLEY — The ground breaking ceremonies for two new elementary schools at the Clear Fork Valley School District will be Oct. 8.
The first ceremony will be at 2 p.m. at the Butler Elementary School front lawn.
The Bellville ceremony will be at 3 p.m.on the front lawn of the lower building on Hines Avenue. This is the building which sits below the Bellville elementary school.
The district is building two replacement buildings for the current elementary structures. The architectural firm of Garmann Miller designed both buildings.
The old buildings will remain in place as construction occurs.
School superintendent Janice Wyckoff said about 1,000 workers will be on site to do construction over a 17-month period. She also said construction noise is expected to be “loud and repetitive.”
