Mulan to be presented at Clear Fork

CLEAR FORK VALLEY — The Clear Fork Middle School Drama Club musical production will be Disney’s Mulan Jr.

It will be presented starting Nov. 16.

Disney’s Mulan Jr. is a stage adaptation of the very popular 1998 Mulan animated movie. The show has many familiar

songs and scenes, but focuses on Chinese traditions of family.

This year’s cast and crew has about 50 students ranging from 11 to 14 years old in grades six through eight.

Auditions and rehearsals started in early September and are reaching the point of final show preparations. This includes

costuming, set construction, props and lighting and sound.

The group will be performing five shows this year.

All Butler and Bellville elementary students will attend the show Nov. 16 or 17 at 9 a.m. Two shows will be open to the public on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m.

Tickets will be sold one hour before curtain time. The auditorium will open to seating 30 minutes before the show for general seating with no assigned seats. All seats at the two public performances will be $4. The final show will be Nov. 20 for all middle school students.

Partnering with Compassion for Action, there will be a pre-show taco bar offered to raise money for that cause.

Nov. 18 the taco bar will be open from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The cost will be $10 for a single person, $15 for couples, and $20 for families.
