CLEAR FORK VALLEY — Groups in the valley are getting ready for this holiday season with a variety of events.

Businesses in the area are invited to participate in the Christmas window painting event.

One window at the Haven Salon and Spa is painted brightly with white lettering saying “Tis the season to sparkle!”

The window painting contest is sponsored by the Clear Fork Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Teri Brenkus said nearly 30 businesses have signed up to be in the contest.

The window at Haven Salon and Spa was painted by Erin Schemine.

For the window painting contest, businesses contribute $25 to enter, plus $5 to pay for paint.

A special “Foundation Open House” will be held at the Malabar Farm Big House Dec. 6.

The event at Malabar Farm invites people to attend and “celebrate the year’s accomplishments.”

Food and refreshments will be provided at the Malabar Farm event.

People interested in attending the Malabar Farm open house may RSVP to Victoria Cochran, at 419-892-2929.

Cub Scouts will light the yule log at the bandstand in Bellville Central Park Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.

The holiday parade in Bellville will be Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. There will be floats, marching groups, and of course, Santa Claus. After the parade there will be horse and carriage rides, children’s crafts, visits with Santa and cookies and cocoa.
