The Mansfield Symphony Chorus will hold the fourth annual ‘Sing Out! A Choral Celebration’ on Oct. 18, beginning at 2:30 p.m., at the Renaissance Theatre.
The concert will feature performances by the Mansfield Symphony Chorus and high school choirs from Mansfield Senior, Shelby, Ontario, Clear For, and Mansfield Christian. Also performing will be cast members from Mansfield Youth Theatre’s production of “Singing in the Rain” and the popular “Moonlighters’ Quartet.”
The Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Dirk Eachus, will open the program with a powerful presentation by Ken Medema entitled “Moses.” Each of the guest choirs will then sing two selections of their own choosing. The concert will culminate in a combined performance featuring all choirs on Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and lively Gospel piece, “Shut De Do” by Randy Stonehill. Deb Logan will emcee the event.
Sing Out! A Choral Celebration does not require tickets or charge and admission fee. A suggested donation of $5 for each adult in attendance will be used to help defray program expenses and to further promote choral music in our area. More information about the concert and the groups performing is available from Steve Taylor, Mansfield Symphony and Chorus Operations Manager, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling 419-368-3705.
