Open to all for community discussion

The race in November’s election for two vacant seats on Clear Fork Local School District’s Board of Education won’t have any names to choose from on the 2015 ballot.

Instead Dan Freund, Carl Gonzalez, Nick Kuelling and Ron Salkovick have all chosen to run as write-in choices next month.

In an effort to inform registered voters of the candidates’ platforms, The Bellville Star will be hosting a community forum with the individuals in the race on Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

The event will be the community’s opportunity to hear each candidate speak on a number of issues the Clear Fork Local School District faces such as the pending elementary reconstruction. During the 6forum, those in attendance will have a chance to participate in a question and answer session.

While not strictly a debate, the event will function as a community-oriented ‘get to know your candidate’ meeting. For those who cannot attend the meeting, be sure to follow our coverage of the event and the upcoming election.
