According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, peak fall color conditions are expected across northern Ohio stretching down into the central portion of the state this weekend.
“Throughout the fall season, Ohio State Parks offer a variety of organized hikes that provide an amazing perspective of the Buckeye State’s beautiful and diverse natural terrains,” said ODNR Fall Color Forester Casey Burdick. “State parks like Hocking Hills and Shawnee, as well as preserves like Conkles Hollow, are beautiful on any day, but draped in the colors of fall, these hikes are truly special.”
Fall colors have peaked in a variety of Richland County recreational areas. These photos were taken at the Gorman Nature Center located at 2295 Lexington Avenue in Mansfield.
The season’s best fall colors can be expected to hit the region for the next several days.
The Gorman Nature Center provides residents with walking trails peppered with the season’s changing foliage.
