BEVERLY LEWIS COMING TO AREA – Beverly Lewis, a New York Times bestselling author, is coming to Ashland University on April 6, at 7 p.m. The event will take place at Ashland University’s John C. Myers Convocation Center in the Heritage Room.

In addition to the Ashland event, Lewis will also appear April 7 at 10 a.m. at The Bookery Parable Store, 2300 W. Fourth St. Mansfield.

As one of the top-selling authors in the inspirational market, Lewis is not only the leading author of Amish fiction, but also its pioneer: She created the genre with the release of her first adult novel, The Shunning, in 1997. Recent surges in both reader interest and publisher output of Amish fiction have gained national attention, garnering coverage by Time magazine, the BBC World News service, The Wall Street Journal, and Nightline, among others.

The on-sale date for The Atonement is March 29.

CHAPEL HILL TO HOST EASTER EGG HUNT – Chapel Hill United Methodist Church will hold its Maundy Thursday Service of Tenebrae at 7 p.m., March 24. Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 8 a.m. on Easter Day, followed by a light breakfast at 9 a.m. and Morning Worship Service at 10 a.m. Chapel Hill United Methodist Church is located at 3716 Bellville North Road.

IMPACT WORSHIP CENTER EASTER EVENTS – Impact Worship Center will host its Good Friday service from 6-8 p.m. March 25.

On Easter, a special time of prayer will be held at 8 a.m. Breakfast will follow at 8:45 a.m. in the auditorium, after which will be an Egg hunt for the children in the lower lawn weather permitting. The worship service will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the auditorium.

EASTER BAKE SALE SCHEDULED – The Edison United Methodist Church will hold its Easter Bake Sale, 8:30-11:30 a.m. March 26 at the church, located at 333 Boundary St., Edison. Call 419-946-5178.

HUMPHERY TO SPEAK AT ALL SOULS CHURCH – Pastor William Humphrey will speak 10:30 a.m. March 27 at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Bellville.

His sermon title is “Direct Experience, Earth Based Spiritual Practice and Compassion.”

LEADERSHIP DAY SET – Pastor Kevin Gerald and his leadership team will be in town on April 7 for Team Church One Day, an event that will focus on leadership and volunteerism in the church as well as the community. CitiChurch in Bellville is hosting the event. Gerald is from Champions Centre in Seattle.

Church spokeswoman Kristin Scott said this is the first time this particular event is being held, adding that the goal is to help all churches, in all communities, to move forward.
