Lady Colts’ 9-0 after 5-2 softball win over Ashland


BELLVILLE — Clear Fork improved to 9-0 Monday night with a 5-2 win over Ashland in Ohio Cardinal Conference softball action. The Lady Colts are 5-0 in their conference.

 

Clear Fork scored single runs in the first three innings and led 5-1 in the sixth when Ashland scored it’s second run.

Haylie Miller’s delivered the big hit for Clear Fork with a two-run home in the fifth inning.She also singled to for the Colts. Carson Crowner chipped in three singles, Macy Wade doubled and Whitney Snavely had two singles.

Darian Gottfried went the distance for Clear Fork to pick up her sixth win of the season. She struck out four, gave up six hits and walked zero.

The Lady Colts did not commit an error on defense.
