CLEAR FORK VALLEY — A power outage curtailed activities at the Clear Fork high school and middle school Wednesday.
Students who had driven to school were allowed to leave, and those who ride buses were transported to Bellville or Butler buildings, said Cheryl Lantz, in the Clear Fork office.
Power was cut about 10:30 a.m. Workers in the cafeteria were able to serve lunch food to students because it had already been warmed, Lantz said.
Bathrooms in the building didn’t work, and seniors were no longer in the building because they were released from school earlier.
Power started coming back on about 1:30 in the afternoon, though some circuits still seemed to be impaired.
Lantz said the principals and teachers “divided and conquered,” taking care of the problem.
