BELLVILLE — Clear Fork jumped out to a 6-0 halftime lead vs. Pleasant on Monday night en route to an easy 10-0 shutout in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action.
With the win, Clear Fork improves to 11-3-0 overall and 4-1-0 in the conference.
It was senior night in the Valley and the Lady Colts never looked back.
Despite being injuried, seniors Macy Wade and Brianne Worner started the game and were subbed out after getting one touch on the kick-off. The other four Clear Fork senior all got into the action with Lauren Callen getting a goal and two assists. Hayley Brown had one assist. Whitney Snavely had one assist and Aly Wend scored the first goal of the night just six minutes into the game.
The rest of the scoring came from Kaylin Helinski (3 goals), Ariel Cole (1 goal), Morgan Galco (2 goals), Carly McCue (1 goal) and Avery Wend with 1 goal. Maleah Garrabrant, MacKenzie Klenk, Bailey Romoser and Helinski each had an assist.
As of Monday, according to the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference schedule, with just one league match on their schedule, Clear Fork, Buckeye Valley and Ontario each have one loss in the conference.
The Lady Colts take on Norwalk on Thursday in non-league action and finish up vs. league foe Marion Harding on Oct. 11.
Also, as of Monday, Helinski is the leading scorer in the conference. Before Monday’s clash with Pleasant, she had 20 goals, 7 assists and 47 points.
