BELLVILLE — Bellville’s 10-game win streak is over. But, despite Friday’s 67-65 overtime loss to Pleasant, the Colts still have a shot at an Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference basketball title.
Pleasant scored with 30 seconds to take a 66-65 lead Friday, and then added a free through with 12 seconds to go, to make it 67-65 at the Colt Corral. The Colts missed two shots as time ran out to give Pleasant the win.
With the loss, Clear Fork falls to 15-4 overall and 11-1 in the MOAC. Pleasant is 16-3 overall, and a half-game ahead of the Colts in the MOAC with a 12-1 record.

Pleasant led 21-6 after the first quarter and 32-25 at the break. The Colts trimmed the lead to 47-43 starting the fourth quarter, but outscored the Colts down the stretch to send the game into overtime at 58-58.
Clear Fork kept the momentum starting the extra period and grabbed a 63-59. But Pleasant clamped down the defense, outscoring the Colts 8-2 to get the win.
Chance Barnett led Pleasant with 27 points. Brennan South had 12 and Brady Tedrow scored 11.
Nick Kimmel led Pleasant with 23 points. Gage Williams scored 19.
