The Clear Fork softball team improved to 18-5, 11-1 in league play, with a two-game sweep of Mansfield Senior in a Tuesday doubleheader.
Both games ended with identical 10-0 scores after five innings. In the first contest, Darian Gottfried struck out seven while giving up two hits to pick up the win. Offensively, the team mustered nine hits, with Caitlynn Hilverding tallying three singles and Macy Wade cracking a double and single. Haylie Miller added a double.
In the second game, Gottfried and McKenzie Baker combined for the shutout, with Gottfried pitching four of the five innings, striking out four and only giving up one hit. Montana Walker hit a double and single, Baker added two singles and Zara Thomas had a double to pace the team’s nine-hit attack.
