TIFFIN — Clear Fork ran into a buzz say Thursday during their regional semifinal softball game vs. Oak Harbor.
The Colts managed just two hits — a single Zara Thomas and a home run by Haylie Miller in the fourth inning — in a 5-1 loss.
When Miller hit her homerun, the Colts were trailing 5-0. And they didn’t threaten again.
The Lady Colts finished the year at 26-4. Oak Harbor improves to 29-1 with the victory.
Darian Gottfriend went the distance on the mount for Clear Fork. She gave up 10 base hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out one.
Oak Harbor, which plays Keystone in the regional semifinal Saturday at noon, scored a run in the first inning, three runs in the bottom of the second and another solo run in the third inning.
