MANSFIELD — The Fun Center Chordsmen will present an afternoon of spectacular entertainment for fans of four part a cappella harmony singing.
The performance is called “Guys Night Out.” It is this Saturday, March 16 at 3 p.m. at the Renaissance Theatre in downtown Mansfield. Tickets are available at mansfieldtickets.com, the Renaissance box office and from any Fun Center Chordsman. They cost $15 for adults and $12 for students in kindergarten to 12th grade.
“Guys Night Out” is a show that looks in on one of the final rehearsals of the Chordsmen in preparing for their annual show.
It seems that one of the members has had a small disagreement with his wife. As fate would have it, things don’t turn out the way he thought they would.
The chorus supports him with all kinds of advice through the trials and tribulations he faces as he works hard to make things right with the wife. He finally realizes that love and life require a full time commitment. It takes time and effort, but everything turns out OK, and the chorus members celebrate with him as his life returns to normal.
The finale will feature the Chordsmen, and the Crestview Morning Choir, under the direction of Trevor Garrabrant, combining voices in two popular uptunes, “Happy Together” and “Shut Up and Dance.”
