MANSFIELD — If you and your kids are fans of the Little Buckeye Children’s Museum in Mansfield, they have some interesting things coming up.
One is a chance to take part in a parent/child yoga class. Classes are 9:15-10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11; Saturday, March 18; Saturday, March 25; and Saturday, April 1. It costs $10 for both you and your child, per class, for members of the museum and $15 for non-members. Class size is limited. To make a reservation, call 419-522-2332.
The class is for parents and their kids, between the ages of 5-9. Participants will enjoy a fun and gentle way to build strength, coordination and balance, while relieving stress through yoga poses, partner poses, games, stories, and age-appropriate breathing and relaxation techniques. Beginners are welcome, and bring a mat for both participants. The instructor is Mindy Wood.
Also, the museum is trying to raise money to fund an exhibit based on police and fire stations.
Have you or your child ever played police officer or firefighter? The Little Buckeye Children Museum would love to honor these American heroes with an exhibit. Police department and fire stations are the No. 1 requested exhibits by children.
The museum has started a gofundme account to raise money for this exhibit.
