Area girl scout earns high mark for sales

Staff report

Jazmine Spayde, daughter of Richard and Christina Spayde of Bellville, sold 1209 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies this year, earning her a spot among the nation’s best sellers.

Spayde was required to sell 800 boxes of cookies to earn an invite to the Girl Scout’s Stellar Seller event and needed to sell 1000 boxes to earn an American Girl Doll. She earned both achievements.

This year’s Stellar Seller event took place at a AAA Columbus Clippers baseball game. She and several other ‘Stellar Sellers’ got to walk on the field in a game day parade and were given Clippers merchandise.

Due to inclement weather, Friday’s game was canceled, making it a doubleheader for the scouts in attendance on Saturday.

Spayde also received a coveted American Girl Doll gift card and a trip to their store.
