Impact Worship Center transforms faithful

When anyone travels down State Route 13 from Mansfield to Bellville they might notice sitting on a hill a church called Impact Worship Center.

The church began in a log house that was converted into a frame church that sat at the corner of State Route 97 and Teeter and Snyder roads in 1858.

Over the years that frame church went through a series of changes. It was finally purchased by the Pilgrim Holiness church in 1953. When the Pilgrim Holiness Denomination merged with the Wesleyan Methodist Denomination the church’s name was changed Clear Fork Valley Wesleyan Church.

This church purchased land at the corner of St. Rt. 13 and Woodruff Rd. in 2001 and built a new building becoming Impact Worship Center in 2007.

Families connected with the church have served in Clear Fork Valley and the surrounding areas for nearly 100 years. The people of Impact Worship Center have donated time and goods to local food banks, collected coats and distributed them to the inner city, served God by giving time and funds to Habitat for Humanity, Richland New Hope and Richland Pregnancy Center, sent missionaries to foreign mission fields, sent its members on short term trips to Nicaragua to build churches, and collected money to care for those who frequent laundromats.

The contemporary worship of Impact Worship Center seeks to lead all into the presence of God. The church worships in a multi-purpose center that can seat over 700 people. The church has a children’s wing and teen center to minister to the needs of our community’s families.

The church is about transformed lives. The foundation of this transformation is found in the Bible. This community of faith seeks to live out these biblical truths so that the community they live in might be a better place. The church has seen many people’s lives renewed by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The people of Impact are a welcoming and friendly community that has seen those who come here find wholeness through a growing relationship with Jesus. We seek to live out Jesus’ grace and love by going into the world, living godly lives and leading others to discover the abundant life he offers everyone.

Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate with us at Impact Worship Center, 160 Woodruff Rd. Mansfield, Ohio, each Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
