Burkhart named to vacant Bellville Village Council seat

BELLVILLE — J. J. Burkhart has been sworn in as new member of the village council.

Mayor Teri Brenkus said Burkhart was sworn in Saturday. Burkhart is one of three persons who said they would be interested in the open council seat. The others who said they were interested were former council member Rich Osborn and Brandy Wehymeller, who has been active in local activities.

Burkhart, who has been in the village for one year, has a background in training people to perform a variety of services, he told council at a recent meeting. He said then he likes the village because it is “kind and welcoming.”
