Bellville man arrested on aggravated robbery charges

BELLVILLE — A 19 year-old man from Bellville has been arrested for committing an aggravated robbery at a Sunoco station and a Rite Aid store in Mansfield.

Corey Pasheilich was arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s office after robbing the Sunoco Station at 1257 State Route 430, in Madison Township. He also was arrested for committing a theft at Rite Aid, at 1075 Ashland Road, also in Madison Township.

It was determined that earlier in the day Pasheilich was driving a stolen gold Chevy Impala and was the suspect in the Lincoln Inn aggravated robbery that occurred March 13.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol spotted a stolen vehicle on South Diamond Street at Ford Road. After stopping the vehicle, Pasheilich, a passenger in the vehicle, exited the car and ran. He was located hiding under a parked vehicle. He was arrested and transported to the Richland County Jail.

The driver of the vehicle was from Florida. The Highway Patrol will be pressing charges against the 17 year-old driver for possession of the stolen vehicle. That vehicle was impounded by deputies and will be searched for evidence.

Pasheilich was being investigated by the Ashland Ohio State Highway Patrol post for possession of another stolen vehicle that he wrecked on Sunday. There are several charges pending against Pasheilich for that incident.

In the Lincoln Inn robbery, $879 was taken. At the Rite Aid, eight containers of liquors were stolen. These details were provided by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
