Registration for Marching Princesses May 10

CLEAR FORK VALLEY — Registration for the Marching Princesses Baton Group will be May 10 at the Bellville New Life Church of Christ on Durbin Ave.

Kids wishing to participate can come from 5 to 7 p.m. to get signed up and pay fees.

The Marching Princesses perform in area events such as the Mansfield Miss Ohio Parade, Bellville July 4th Parade and the Lexington Blueberry Festival Parade. They also perform at the Bellville Fair and one Clear Fork Football Game Halftime Show.

Led under the direction of Terry Shupe, the Princesses will practice at the Bellville Elementary School or in the case of bad weather at the New Life Church of Christ every Tuesday from June thru September. At these lessons the girls will learn balance and coordination skills for both the parade and show routines.

The Princesses are divided into five class levels: pre-school (ages 3 to 5), beginners, tricks, intermediate and advanced.

On registration night information will be given out on uniforms, summer events with dates and times and if needed measurements for purchase of batons.

The group will be keeping the same uniforms as last year. Measurements will be taken on registration night so all girls who are planning to join are encouraged to attend.

The first lesson of the season will be June 5.

This will be Shupe’s 32nd year leading The Marching Princesses. If you would like more information, please call 567-333-0274.
