Community health screenings for September

MANSFIELD — Community Health Screenings are free health assessments from Richland Public Health nurses for all ages and all Richland County residents at locations close to home. Community Health Screenings include the following: Free blood pressure screening; free hemoglobin screening; free hematocrit screening; free weight check; free blood sugar screening (requires a 3-hour fast).

Cholesterol Screenings are also available for a $10 charge (cash or check only). These screenings require a 9-12 hour fast.

Wednesday, Sept. 5Butler/Clear Fork Adult Center, 20 W. Henry St., Butler 7–8:30 a.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 11 — Masonic Temple, 1240 Middle-Bellville Road, Mansfield 9:30–11 a.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 12 — Madison Library, 1395 Grace St., Mansfield 10–11:30 a.m.

Neighborhood immunizations for September

MANSFIELD — Infants, children and adults can get the shots they need at our Neighborhood Immunization Clinics staffed by public health nurses from Richland Public Health. Children must be accompanied by an adult/guardian and need an up-to-date shot record and insurance card at time of service. Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care, Anthem and Medical Mutual cards are accepted. No child is denied vaccines due to inability to pay (donations are accepted). Cost of most children’s vaccines is $28 and then $15 for each additional dose. Pricing for adult vaccine varies.

Wednesday, Sept. 5 Bellville/Jefferson Township Fire Station, 470 Main St., Bellville 10 a.m.-noon; Lexington Library 25 Lutz Ave., Lexington 2–4 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 12 — Shelby City Hall (with the City of Shelby Health Department), 43 W. Main St., Shelby 10 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 19 — Shenandoah Christian Church, 5642 St. Rt. 13 North, Shenandoah 9:30 a.m.-noon; Madison Library, 1395 Grace St., Mansfield 2-4 p.m.
