Bellville Police Reports


Sept 23

State Route 97 — On the listed date and time while patrolling, Officer observed subject vehicle fail to complete a stop at the marked stop sign and proceeded through, continuing down the road. Officer caught up to vehicle, activated overheads and initiated a traffic stop. Officer approached vehicle and made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle. The driver requested to exit the vehicle to speak with the Officer, due to the window being inoperable on the driver side door. At this time, Officer observed drug paraphernalia in the driver side door, driver and passenger did supply requested information. This case is under investigation.

Sept. 24

Main Street — On the listed date and time, Officer dispatched to listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Officer arrived and caller advised subject had gotten into vehicle and left. Officer gathered information, a report was filed.

Sept. 25

Main Street — On the listed date and time, conducting random license plate checks, subject vehicle appeared to be different than information on plate, confirmed by dispatch. While following up with vehicle, Officer observed vehicle travel over the marked fog lines, activated overheads and proceeded with a traffic stop. Officer approached driver and advised them the issue with the license plate and reason for the stop. Dispatch confirmed the driver as suspended, a citation was issued for marked lanes and driving under suspension, the driver was able to contact a valid driver to transport them home.

Bellville — Officer dispatched to listed location in reference to a person that had entered business and threatened employees earlier in the day. The caller stated that the subject had entered the business, demanding the paycheck for a family member that no longer was employed at the business. After being asked to leave several times, the subject did, after causing a commotion. A report was filed and this case is under investigation.

Sept. 27

Bellville — On the listed date and time, Officer was flagged down by a person who stated that juvenile had left the residence and had been gone approximately 3 hours. Officer contacted Dispatch and advised of the juvenile. A short time later, Officer observed juvenile in the parking lot of a local business. Officer made contact with the juvenile, and caller was advised. Officer detected and odor of alcohol coming from the juvenile along with two packs of cigarettes in their pocket and they were out past curfew. Juvenile was detained in patrol cruiser while family member was en route. Summonses were issued and the juvenile was released to a family member.

Sept. 28

Fry Road — While on patrol, Officer observed vehicle pass without the required rear lit license plate. Officer turned around and conducted a traffic stop. Officer made contact with the driver, obtained the required information and confirmed with Dispatch the driver as suspended. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and was able to contact a valid driver to retrieve them and the vehicle.

State Route 97 — On this date and time, Officer dispatched to listed location for found property. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with caller who stated that an item of identification was found in one of the business public restrooms. The Officer took possession of the item, Dispatch was contacted for identity verification and a report was filed.
