Early-bird breakfast Sunday at Bellville American Legion

BELLVILLE — Come and enjoy an early-bird breakfast Sunday, Nov. 11, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Bellville American Legion hall. Paid members will eat free. If you’ve not yet paid, you can pay up Sunday and still get your breakfast free. For others, the cost is $6 for adults and $5 for kids and seniors. This breakfast is open to the public.

How to honor veterans and uphold principals?

BELLVILLE — Hayley Young will deliver the message Sunday at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church of Bellville, 25 Church St., Bellville, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The topic will be “Honoring Veterans and Upholding our Principles.” The message will try to answer the question: “In a world filled with conflict, war, and what seems like lack of compassion, how can we as followers of a peaceful faith better understand our principles in order to honor the life and work of our Veterans?”

BELLVILLE — Learn about Superhero Science.Wonder Woman, Superman, Iron Man, oh man! Kids grades k-5 can come to the Bellville branch of the Mansfield/Richland Count Public Library on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. and learn about science by doing super experiments.

Learn more about puppy care and basic training on Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. You have a puppy. Now what? How do you take care of them and treat them right? Come to the Bellville branch of the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library to find out. We will help you and your family learn to care for, bathe, and play with your new four legged family member.

Buckeye Bash Nov. 19 in Mansfield

MANSFIELD — The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Richland County will hold its 38th Beat Michigan Buckeye Bash on Nov. 19 at theMansfield Liederkranz. Speakers fwill be Stan Jefferson, recently retired from the OSU football coaching staff and former coach of Mansfield Srenior High School, as well as former OSU football players including Obie Stilwell, Jay Richardson, Ben Buchanan, Joshua Perry and Curtis Grant. The event is open to the public. It is not limited to OSU alumni.

Live music will be provided by local musicians playing favorites from the OSU marching band. There will be a silent auction as well as a live auction of several larger items including tickets to the OSU-Michigan football game. Proceeds fund Ohio State scholarships for Richland County students. More than $20,000 worth of scholarships were awarded in 2018.
