DivorceCare, a recovery seminar for those going through separation or divorce, will be offered on Wednesday evenings beginning Sept 16 at Fredericktown United Methodist Church.
The program is designed to aid individuals to find hope, help and healing. It supports people who are working through one of life’s most difficult experiences and find spiritual and emotional stability.
There are three key parts to the DivorceCare experience. Each session features a video featuring encouraging information from leading divorce recovery experts. The support group discussion time follows the video. A workbook is provided for journaling and personal study exercises that reinforce the weekly topics. Some of the topics covered are how to deal with
anger, loneliness, depression; new relationships; financial survival and taking care of children’s needs. The biblically-based program will meet for 13 weeks.
A coordinating program, DivorceCare for Kids (grades 1-5), is offered at the same time with similar topics but geared to the appropriate age level. Child care is available for younger children.
Each week a meal is offered (at no charge) before the group meetings. For times and more information, call the church office at 740-694-5806 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
