Akron Children’s Hospital is bringing pediatric specialty care services to the area with a newly opened Mansfield office.
Located at 371 Cline Ave., the location’s staff specializes in pediatric cardiology and orthopedics, as well as maternal fetal medicine.
Walk-in services for laboratory, EKGs and X rays are also available with a physician’s order.
Pediatric cardiologists J.R. Bockoven, M.D., and Ira Taub, M.D., bring Akron Children’s Heart Center services to families in Richland and surrounding counties. The center offers a full spectrum of care for children with congenital heart disease, arrhythmias and pediatric lipid disorders.
Kerwyn Jones, M.D., chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Akron Children’s, brings his expertise in the musculoskeletal system of infants, children and teens, ranging from simple fractures to complex disorders of the bone, joint, muscle and spine.
Akron Children’s Maternal Fetal Medicine division provides services for women who may be at risk for complications of pregnancy, and care for fetuses diagnosed with a genetic disorder or congenital defect.
The board-certified perinatologists who see patients in Mansfield include Stephen Crane, M.D., chairman of Maternal Fetal Medicine; Melissa Mancuso, M.D., director of Akron Children’s Fetal Treatment Center; Katherine Wolf, D.O. director of the division’s Diabetes and Pregnancy Program; and Jennifer Ahn, M.D., director of the division’s OB Ultrasound and Antenatal Testing Center.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
