As the Bellville Street Fair took place on the ground, Kali and Pam Bebout got a glimpse of the action some from 1500 feet above the ground.
“It was really neat to see,” said Pam. “I never imagined myself in hot air balloon, but when I got a ride as a birthday present from my boyfriend of 23 years, I wanted to make it during the fair.”
The Bebouts ride lasted roughly an hour as the mother and daughter floated from the west end of Bellville all the way to Lucas. Piloted by Gary Tyo of Mid-Ohio Balloon Adventures, the duo got to soak in the sights and sounds of the busy day while riding the breeze.
“I have lived in Bellville all my life, so I always knew the fair was big,” Pam said. “On Thursday that was definitely the case. The streets looked crowded even from up there.”
In addition to seeing the street fair, Pam was amazed to see the forestry coverage of Richland County.
“It has to be made up of 65 percent trees,” she said of the area’s topography. “We were picking leaves off of them as Gary flew right over head. The whole thing was just amazing. I would reccommend it to anyone.”
