Our Wednesday night men’s league end of the outing finished up this past Saturday at Little Apple.
We had all 10 teams show up and a sub team that showed up so in total we had 11 teams for the outing. The weather was supposed to be a problem but it turned out absolutely wonderful and the rain held off until we were done. We were very very fortunate to have the skies stay clear for our end of the year fun day. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and we had a wonderful meal at the end consisting of a strip steak, baked potato, cheese plates, fruit plates and some really nice little cucumber on rye sandwiches.
It’s been great to play with the Brokaws this year in our league. Dick and Jeff Brokaw have been staples of the Belleville community for years and years. They both have always been a lot of fun to play with.
Just about everyone in the Belleville/Butler area knows Dick and Jeff. Seems like Dick has been around forever and Jeff is following in his footsteps. It’s always wonderful to see a father and son that are such good friends also out playing golf and enjoying themselves. Our league certainly loves having them in it and it means a lot seeing them do their thing.
We ended with our annual end of the year meeting and selected officers for next year and hopefully we will have a decent winter and be getting together in the spring for our beginning of the year 2016 season. I would like to thank the Bellville Star for doing the articles periodically, and I know that the players enjoy seeing their names in the paper. Hope you have a wonderful winter, and I will talk to you next year.
