Richland Public Health is hosting its first free fitness week July 12-18, offering a variety of classes throughout the county.
The program is put on in conjunction with over 10 area gyms who will be hosting classes in a multitude of interests.
“There is something for everyone,” said program director Paige Warga. “They are offering everything from yoga, Pilates, tai chi, aquatic classes and bootcamps.”
Most classes are open to all fitness levels and require no registration.
“We received a new grant from the Ohio Department of Health,” said Warga. “This is just one of our initiatives to encourage community fitness. We are hoping to continue with similar programs.”
Dynmaic Performance Fitness in Bellville will be holding classes during each day of the event begininng at 6 a.m. The week will conclude on July 18 with a program titled “Pump in the Park”, which will take place at 8 a.m. in the town greenspace before the Farmer’s Market.
