SURVEY: AMERICANS TRAVELING BY CAR FOR SUMMER TRIPS – With 85 percent of Americans planning summer getaways, 90 percent of which will be by car, the personal finance website WalletHub followed up on its analysis of Best Gas Credit Cards with a look at 2015’s Best & Worst States for Summer Road Trips.
Using 20 key metrics, WalletHub compared the 50 U.S. states to identify the states that offer frugally minded road travelers the most fun for the least cost. Our data set ranges from average gas prices to the quality of roads to the number of attractions.

BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL PLANNED – The 2015 “Banger Mayes” Bluegrass and American Roots Music Festival, also known as Mayes Bluegrass Festival, will take place Saturday, August 15 at Bellevue Beach Park in Bellevue, Ky. The festival will honor Banger Mayes, a long time resident of Grants Lick, Ky., who has traveled almost every State in the Union in support and appreciation of Bluegrass & American Roots Music. The festival, FREE to the public, will be a one-day bonanza of Bluegrass and American roots music on the Ohio River from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.
TIFFIN PROFESSOR HONORED – Tiffin University’s Dr. Sharon Perry-Fantini has been selected as one of the 12 Title IX expert facilitators for College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) Connect. Dr. Perry-Fantini is Assistant Vice President for Diversity & Equity Officer/Title IX Coordinator.
As an expert facilitator she will offer knowledge, resources, advocacy and connections to help establish the community and discussion of Title IX topics.
