Updated: 16 year-old arrested in connection with Madison bomb threat

A 16 year-old female student of Madison High School has been arrested in connection with a bomb threat that evacuated the school earlier today.

Madison Comprehensive High School students were cleared out the building after school officials received the written threat around 9:30 a.m, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s office.

Students were led from the high school to the middle school while county law enforcement searched the building and determined there was no active threat on school grounds.

According to reports, the student will receive a 10-day suspension with a reccomendation for explusion.

Classes will resume as normal on Wednesday.
