Butler’s waste water treatment plant construction project is moving on schedule.
The project’s update comes following a village council meeting on Monday, in which members voted to install a committee that would review independent engineering firms’ bids for the project.
“Prior to the deadline on the 18th (Nov. 18), I would like to get together to decide how we will rank the bids that come in,” Butler Mayor Kevin Carr stated. “Sometime after that we will have to bring in the firms for an interview.”
The newly appointed group consists council’s sewer and water committee members, as well as Councilman Trent Dawson and Carr.
The deadline to receive bids for the project is set for Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
Additionally, council approved a measure to expand the village’s Duke and Duchess Gas Station to expand their liquor license to include the sale of wine.
Members also passed a resolution that will redistribute Butler’s water funding.
