Bellville Lions Club to begin collecting for ‘Toy Time’

Staff report

‘Tis the season for giving thanks and giving back to the community. The Bellville Lion’s Club is asking for your help by making donations to Toy Time. Collection barrels are located at the Bellville Library and Stoodts market. The club will also be accepting toy donations at their November 19 meeting at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6:30 p.m.

The Bellville Lion’s will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving dinner during their Nov. 19 meeting, a time that includes family members of club members. President Bill Henderson thanked the residents of Clear Fork for their support of the club.

Earlier this month the Bellville Lions and Butler Lions clubs teamed up to conduct a vision screening of pre-school students in Butler. The club provides assistance for low income residents to obtain eye exams and eye glasses.

Poinsettias will be for sale again this year. Decorate your home and office with a favorite seasonal and Christmas decoration. The Poinsettias are available in red, white, pink or marbled in both six ($10) and eight ($20) inch containers. A tri-color arrangement ($20) is also available. Contact Lion Dean Thomas at 419-886-0059 to order your Poinsettias, or for more information about the club.
