Bellville Police calls: April 16 – 24


April 16- Driving under suspension

A Bellville officer on routine patrol conducted a car stop on State Route 97. A check through dispatch came back the driver had a child support suspension. The officer issued a citation for driving under suspension. The subject was released.

April 17- Incident

BPD was dispatched to the Economy Inn regarding an unresponsive male. The officer began CPR until the EMS squad arrived. No further information.

April 20- Arrest on warrant

A Bellville officer on routine patrol on State Route 97 conducted a car stop. A check through dispatch came back the driver had an active warrant. The driver was taken into custody for the warrant and was turned over to an Ohio Highway Patrol trooper.

April 23- Arrest on warrant

A check through dispatch came back a stopped driver was suspended and had five active warrants. The subject was arrested, issued a summons and citation and transported to the Richland County Jail. The vehicle was towed.

April 23- Disorderly conduct

A Bellville officer was dispatched to Ogle Street regarding an unconscious male. The subject refused to go to the hospital and was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and was released to a friend.

April 24- Incident

BPD was dispatched to a local residence regarding damage to a vehicle. No further information.

April 24- Operation without valid license

A Bellville officer was dispatched to assist the Mount Gilead Ohio State Highway Patrol on I-71 regarding three speeding motorcycles. All three were stopped when they entered the Duke and Duchess. The officer ran their information through dispatch. One subject had an expired Ohio license and another had an expired temporary permit. He issued citations to the subjects and the motorcycles were towed.
