The Butler Car Show will take place Aug. 1 in downtown Butler and feature numerous prizes for registered participants.

Registration for the event begins at 2:30 p.m. and continues until 5 p.m. Entries will be judged at 7:30 p.m. following the conclusion of the show.

The first 125 registrants each get a dash plague to commemorate their participation. The first place car or truck will be awarded $250 or four tires of equal value. Second place will receive a floor jack and $25.

The first and second place motorcycle entries will be awarded with plaques.

Among the festivities will be a host of kids activities, as well as giveaways including gas cards and door prizes.

The event will take place rain or shine and is free to enter. $5 donations for the Butler Area Mechant’s Assoication will be accepted. For more information visit their website at www.butlerareama.org.
