Library events announced

BELLVILLE — Events at the Butler and Bellville branches of the Richland County Public Library include activities for kids and adults.

Children and teens ages eight and older are invited to participate in a minecraft event Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bellville branch. There is limited space for this event so people are encouraged to sign up by calling 419-886-3811.

Friends of the library will hold their monthly book sale Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Oct. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a member’s pre-sale Oct. 6 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Children in grades three through five can go to the Bellville branch library Oct. 13 at 3:30 p.m. and celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) by making a sugar skull craft. Please call 419-886-3811 to sign up.

There will be a program to teach people how to make zombie dolls at the Bellville branch Oct. 10 at 6 p.m.

Children in grades six through 12 can go to the Bellville branch library Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. and bring a white t-shirt. This will be an event where people attending can create a “sharpie” tie die shirt. Call 419-886-3811 to sign up.

There will be a fall book sale at the Butler branch library Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be during the Butler Apple Festival.

Beginners and advanced chess players are invited to attend a chess club session at the Bellville branch library Oct. 18 at 4 p.m.

There will be brick builders LEGO club at the Bellville library Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. The same type of session will be at the Butler branch on Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m.
