Linda Wade is back doing business again in downtown Bellville, offering customers old favorites, new fare and a promise they will not leave hungry from her newest business C&W Meats and Treats.

Wade began her venture in the food industry in 2009 after obtaining her home bakery license.

“I began creating a bunch of desserts to sell at farmer’s markets around the area,” she said. “I had stands at the Canton and New Albany Farmer’s Markets.”

Following the success of her mobile baked goods business, Wade decided to give a permanent restaurant a try, opening Linda’s Sweets and Gourmet Sandwiches in 2013.

Splitting time between her full-time IT job and her restaurant proved to be a daunting task and Wade closed Linda’s Sweets and Gourmet Sandwiches making way for other businesses to try the location.

However, her hiatus did not last long and Wade gave the food business another shot, opening her doors again this summer.

“I went a little bit further this time,” she said. “I expanded the menu a little bit and am offering delivery within a 10-mile radius.”

The expanded C&W menu stays true to its motto of “more meat is better” serving patrons a variety of specialty sandwiches that come with a half-pound of meat, as well as daily dinner specials.

Additionally, Wade has joined forces with Natale and Mathew Chillemi to fine tune her operation. In addition to restaurant help, the Chillemis offer their family’s take on a variety of in-store specialties such as the Italian sausage sandwich.

“We get all of our meat locally from Dee Jay’s in Fredericktown,” explained Wade. “We then grind it all to make our homemade meatballs and Italian sausage sandwiches.”The owner recommends the Reuben, which comes complete with hickory smoked beef.

The menu is also filled with a variety of meatless options such as salads and pasta dishes. Each dinner comes with two sides like C&W’s kale chips or a small-sized daily dessert.

C&W is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and is located at 11 Main Street in Bellville. They can also be reached through their Facebook page at CCWMeatsandTreats or at 419-886-2555.
