Thanks for making Yule Log lighting, parade such successes

Thank you for making Yule Log lighting a success

The Clear Fork Valley Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who participated in or attended the 2018 Yule Log lighting celebration on Dec. 6. What a beautiful evening with the freshly fallen snow.

Thanks to the Cub Scouts for once again providing and lighting the yule log. Special thanks go to Fast Eddie’s Pizza for the cookies and wassail, V & M Restaurant for the hot chocolate and Rick and Juli Baker for sponsoring the live reindeer from Kleerview Farm.

Thank you to all,

Clear Fork Valley Chamber of Commerce

Tina’s Christmas Parade was great community event

Tina’s Christmas Parade Committee would like to thank everyone for coming out to see the parade on Dec. 8. Thanks, also, to all of the parade entrants for making it even better than past parades.

Winners were: 1st place, $100 – Clear Fork High School Band; 2nd place, $75 – Rook Family Farm; 3rd place, $50 – American Legion Color Guard. Originally, the vision of Tina Griffon was not only to have a parade, but to make activities and treats available at no charge to those attending. By herself, she made her vision a reality.

Tina passed from this earth in 2016, but we are dedicated to continuing her dream. The parade and all that follows — the carriage rides, cocoa, cookies, Santa, children’s crafts and more — would not be possible without the generous help and donations of many.

Special thanks to The Golden Family, Jeff Hammett, The American Legion, The AmVets, The Clear Fork Valley Chamber of Commerce, Country Meadow Care Center, V & M Restaurant, Fast Eddie’s Pizza, Wishmaker House, announcer Mike Greene, parade judges Jennifer Vanmeter from the Wishmaker House, Jody Hastings from GRI, and Phil Critcher from Country Meadow Care Center, and many more.

Thank you.
