BELLVILLE — Caitlynn Hilverding singled three times, hit a double and collected four RBIs; and Haylie Miller homered and drove in three runs; to help Clear Fork’s girls softball team to a 10-3 win over West Holmes.
With the victory, Clear Fork improves to 14-1 on the year. The Colts are 7-1 in the Ohio Heartland Conference.
Clear Fork scattered 10 hits vs. West Holmes pitching, including two singles by Carson Crowner and a single by Zara Thomas.
The Lady Colts jumped out to a 5-0 lead, and when when West Holmes tried to make a game of it in the top of the sixth inning with a solo run, responded with five more runs in the bottom of the frame to put the game away.
Darian Gottfried earned the pitching win for Clear Fork. She gave up eight hits, walked three and struck out three.
