Colts take measure of Redmen, 40-12

BELLEVUE — Clear Fork made the trip north worthwhile, jumping on the host Redmen early and leaving with a solid 40-12 win over the hosts.

The Colts are now 2-0 and visit MOAC foe Jonathan Alder Friday night.

The visitors wasted little time in taking a 14-0 lead courtesy of two Trevon Trammell runs covering 46 and 94 yards. Clear Fork took a 26-0 lead at halftime.

Brennan South added a 19-yard run and a 39-yard scoring toss from Jerad Schaefer to A.J. Blubaugh added the first half scoring.

Trammell added a 6-yard run and Schaefer hit Caden Flynn for a 49-yard scoring strike in the second half.

Flynn had two receptions for 97 yards; Blubaugh two for 60 and Jay Swainhart one for 25.

Trammell rushed for 174 yards on 14 carries. Schaefer completed 5-of-6 passes for 154 yards and the two TDs.

On the defensive side, Trammell, Hunter Tollison and Swainhart each recorded a sack.

Swainhart had eight tackles, Dylan Belcher seven, Schaefer six and Michael Chillemi and Flynn five apiece.

Bellevue managed just 21 yards on 36 rushing attempts. Each team had 12 first downs. Gabe Blauser hit 4-of-5 extra point attempts.

After two games Trammell has 269 rushing yards and five TDs. Justin Homerick has six catches for 101 yards.

The Colts have amassed 811 yards of offense in the two victories.

Alder defeated Marion Harding last Friday night, 28-14.
