COLUMBUS — Clear Fork defeated Bexley 3-2 on a warm Saturday afternoon in Columbus.With the win, the Colts improve to 9-2-2 overall. Clear Fork is 5-0-0 in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.
The game was played Mapfre (Crew) Stadium. Bexley got on the board first when they followed up a couple deflection saves by the Clear Fork keeper Kaylee Krausman. Clear Fork was sluggish most of the first half, but was able to equalize with three minutes left when Kaylin Helinski ran on a punt from Krausman and slipped a shot by the Bexley keeper. The game went to halftime tied 1-1.
The Lady Colts came out more inspired in the second half and took the lead early into the second half when MacKenzie Thorne played a corner kick to the front of the goal that Helinski headed in for the lead. A few minutes later, Morgan Galco took a pass from MacKenzie Snyder and found the right corner of the next to extend the lead to 3-1 with about 25 minutes left in the game.
The play was back and forth from there with Bexley pushing numbers forward try and get back into the game. With approximately 10 minutes left, Bexley took a long shot that grazed the finger tips of an outstretched Krausman and found the back of the net to cut the Lady Colts’ lead to 3-2.
Clear Fork shut down the Lady Lions from there to secure thevictory. Krausman had 12 saves in goal for Clear Fork.
Clear Fork travels to No. 2 ranked Granville on Monday.
CF JV defeated Bexley 1-0 in the opening game.

MARION — Kaylin Helinski score four goals Monday night as Clear Fork’s girls soccer team shut out Pleasant 7-0. With the win, the Lady Colts improved to 7-2-2 and 4-0 in the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.
Besides Helinski, Ashley Black, Morgan Galco an MacKenzie Snyder also had goals. Snyder also had two assists, to go with one apiece from Helinski, Black, Galco and MacKenzie Thorne.
Ontario, also undefeated in MOAC girls soccer action, is at Clear Fork today (Oct. 3).

BELLVILLE — Ontario was a 25-10, 25-18, 25-22 winner over Clear Fork on Tuesday in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball action.
With the loss, the Lady Colts fell to 4-15 overall and 2-10 in the MOAC. Ontario improves to 11-5 overall and 9-3 in the MOAC. Clear Fork is at Pleasant on Thursday.
