Kaylin Helinski scored two goals to pace Clear Fork to a 4-1 victory over Lexington in Ohio Cardinal Conference girls soccer action on Tuesday.
Helinski tallied both of her goals in the first half and Meshia Curry also found the net in the opening 40 minutes as Clear Fork built a 3-0 lead. Lexington’s Morgan Eckstein cut the deficit to 3-1 in the second half off an assist from Lauren Pfizenmayer.
However, Montana Walker scored to once again give the Lady Colts a three-goal cushion. Curry finished with two assists and Kelsey Carver also had an assist for Clear Fork.
Kaylee Krausman made seven saves for the Lady Colts. Lexington’s Abigail Adams recorded six saves and Rachel Cline came up with four saves.
Clear Fork (7-2-0, 4-0-0 OCC) out-shot Lexington, 14-8. The Lady Colts had two corner kicks while Lexington (2-8-0, 1-3-0 OCC) had none.
The Lady Colts won the junior varsity match, 7-1.
Clear Fork travels to Wooster on Thursday.
Lexington plays host to Madison on Thursday.
