Clear Fork’s baseball team claimed an 11-0 win over Newark Catholic Saturday.
Mitch Dulin won for the Colts, pitching five innings and striking out three, while scattering four hits. Offensively, the team got two hits from Hunter Boyer, as well as doubles from Luke Clark and Gavin Bailey.
On Monday night, the Clear Fork softball team claimed a 6-3 win over Fredericktown in a road contest.
The Colts scored once in the first and twice in the second to take an early 3-0 lead, but the Freddies responded with two runs to close within one. Clear Fork pulled away late, though, scoring once in the fifth, sixth and seventh frames while their opponents could only tally one run during that span.
Darian Gottfried pitched a complete game and gave up nine hits in picking up the win. She struck out four. Offensively, Montana Walker had a double and single, while Haylie Miller picked up a double and Taylor Cook recorded a pair of singles.
