BELLVILLE — Built By Unity, a functional fitness gym and yoga studio, located in Bellville, Ohio has marks its second anniversary and has moved into a larger facility.
The community is invited to visit their new facility at a grand opening celebration and open house Saturday, Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Built By Unity coaches will be on hand to answer questions about classes and those who visit will have an opportunity to win gift baskets and free classes.
Built By Unity (BBU) opened in Bellville in November, 2016. The gym’s move from its original space on Huron Street to the new facility, located in Darr Events, 5780 State Route 13, has tripled available space with a 3,000 square foot facility. The move has allowed BBU to add new classes and better accommodate the growing community that has formed around the gym.
BBU has fitness opportunities for everyone. Daily functional fitness classes can be scaled for every age and fitness ability — from beginner to advanced — and are offered numerous times a day. BBU offers On Ramp, a beginners class perfect for those who are new to functional fitness; kids classes for those 11 and younger; and a legends class for members 50 and older. BBU also offers yoga classes. A full schedule of classes can be found at www.builtbyunity.com
“Built By Unity was started with a passion for athletes and true purpose to help everyone exercise,” said Landon Walker, coach and owner of Built By Unity.
Walker is a three-time CrossFit regionals qualifier. His dream of opening a gym and sharing his love of fitness with other became a reality in 2016 when he opened Built By Unity. Since then, BBU has added coach Aaron Watts and yoga instructors Rebekah Subit and Alissa Muntain.
Members say that BBU is more than just a gym. The small group classes encourage a sense of community where members become friends. The term “gym family” is a common phrase used by members and they support, encourage and challenge each other daily.
