BELLVILLE — Hello, Dolly!
Yes, the Clear Fork High School kids are saying “Hello, Dolly!” with three perormances in early April
The cast and crew will welcome Dolly to the Clear Fork Valley on April 5, 6 and 7. Students and directors have been battling the Ohio winter and numerous snow days, but have managed to squeeze in rehearsals for dance, singing and choreography since early January.
The show is April 5 and April 6 at 7 p.m. and April 7 at 2 p.m. at Clear Fork High School. Tickets cost $7 and are available in the high school office during regular school hours.
The musical follows the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi, played by Malorie Kinney. Dolly is a strong-willed matchmaker and the show follows along with her as she travels to Yonkers, New York to find a match for the miserly “well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder, played by Sam Brandes.
“This is a very traditional show with a big chorus,” said James Michalovich, who is directing the show. “This year’s seniors have always been a great group of performers, so we looked for a show with many fun roles. This is going to be great fun to see this show come together in a little over a month. It has been rough with the weather, but the kids are great and are working hard. Mark your calendars for this classic and timeless match-maker story.”
